Sensitive skin or a history of skin irritation can also lead to problems when tanning, so discuss it with your doctor ahead of time in order to make sure indoor tanning is safe for you and your skin.
Go In Clean
It is best to avoid wearing perfumes or cosmetics when indoor tanning. Many tanning beds won’t allow customers to wear cosmetics while tanning, but will provide them with facilities where they can put on makeup afterwards. It is also best to avoid wearing lotions or gels other than tanning lotions that are specifically made for indoor tanning.
Protect Your Eyes
Your eyes can easily become damaged while tanning if they are not properly covered. It is even possible for the ultraviolet light to penetrate through your eyelids and damage your eyes. Therefore, it is best to wear special protective eyewear and be sure to keep your eyes shut throughout the entire tanning session.
